🪴 Recommended Pot

For best display and healthy roots, place your orchid in our Happy Plants Medium Self-Watering Pot:

  • Keeps roots perfectly hydrated without overwatering

  • Modern, elegant design that pairs beautifully with colourful orchids

Care Instructions:

Light: Place the Phalaenopsis in a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.

Water: Water the Phalaenopsis once a week by dipping the root ball in water for 5-10 minutes. After dipping, let the plant drain well before returning it to its ornamental pot.

Air humidity: An environment with high humidity is much appreciated. If you want to increase the humidity, put a container of water near the plant or spray the plant occasionally with water with a plant sprayer.

Temperature: Room temperature between 15 - 25ºC is ideal. Avoid draughts and heat sources such as central heating and stoves.

Nutrition: After purchase, the potting soil contains enough nutrients for the first 2-3 months. After this period, give some extra liquid orchid nutrition during spring and summer months.

Repotting: Repot the Phalaenopsis every 1-2 years with special orchid potting soil, and make sure the plant is tight in the pot. The tighter, the more flowers the plant will produce.

Flowering: Once the plant has finished flowering, you can prune the flower stems to encourage new flowering. You do this by cutting off the stem below the third ‘eye’, thickening on the stem.
